overview
Cooper Chapman is a former professional surfer, mental health educator, author and founder of The Good Human Factory. After travelling the world competing professionally for more than a decade, Cooper’s own experiences navigating the pressures of elite sport and mental health inspired him to shift his focus towards helping others build happier, healthier and more balanced lives.

Cooper founded The Good Human Factory with a mission to make conversations around mental health more approachable and provide people with practical tools to improve their wellbeing. Through workshops delivered across schools, workplaces, sporting clubs and communities, Cooper encourages people to prioritise gratitude, mindfulness, values, kindness and empathy. To date, The Good Human Factory has reached more than 75,000 people through its workshops across Australia and internationally.

Cooper is also the host of 'Good Humans with Cooper Chapman', a podcast he launched in 2020 featuring honest conversations with athletes, psychologists, entrepreneurs and inspiring people about mental health, resilience and what it means to live a good life. The podcast has since grown to more than one million downloads and hundreds of episodes.

In 2025, Cooper released his first book, 'The 1% Good Club', published by Wiley, which shares practical tools and habits designed to help people dedicate just 1% of their day to improving their mental wellbeing.

Now working full time across The Good Human Factory, speaking, workshops, content and community initiatives, Cooper continues to use his platform to make mental health practical, relatable and a priority for people of all ages.
